Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver specializing in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation services for clients requiring medical or personal assistance. Your expertise in passenger vehicle operation, adherence to traffic and state transportation regulations, and excellent customer service skills will ensure a positive experience for every passenger. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who rely on accessible transportation services. Responsibilities Safely operate passenger vehicles including vans, shuttles, or limousines to transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or other destinations. Follow designated local driving routes while adhering strictly to traffic laws and state transportation regulations. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support for those with mobility challenges or special needs. Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any issues promptly. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm schedules, provide updates, and ensure a comfortable experience. Manage GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and ensure timely arrivals at destinations. Handle heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage while prioritizing safety protocols. Qualifications Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of safe driving practices. Experience operating various passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttle buses, or limousines. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and local driving routes. Knowledge of medical transportation procedures and client communication best practices. Ability to adhere strictly to traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and safety standards. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks associated with loading mobility devices or luggage. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated. Pay:
$13.50 - $14.00 per hour
