Duties Safely operate a variety of passenger and commercial vehicles, including passenger vans, shuttle buses, limousines, and medical transportation vans. Deliver goods, equipment, or passengers to designated locations following established routes and schedules. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies to ensure safety at all times. Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes and adjust as needed for traffic or road conditions. Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle safety and readiness. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate pickups, drop-offs, and route updates. Assist with heavy lifting or manual handling of cargo when necessary, ensuring proper safety procedures are followed. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger needs courteously and professionally during trips. Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance issues, and delivery records. Follow protocols for medical transportation or specialized client needs with sensitivity and professionalism. Experience Proven delivery driver experience or commercial driving background with a clean driving record. Experience operating passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttles, limousines, or school buses is highly desirable. Knowledge of local driving routes along with familiarity with GPS navigation tools. Prior experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks associated with cargo loading/unloading. Strong communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Understanding of traffic regulations at the state level and adherence to all safety standards.
