Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Daycare Van Driver to ensure the safe and reliable transportation of children to and from our center and area schools. This vital role involves operating passenger vans with care, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, and providing excellent customer service to families and staff. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a positive experience for children while maintaining the highest standards of safety, punctuality, and professionalism. Duties Safely operate passenger vans, shuttle buses, or similar vehicles to transport children along designated local routes. Follow all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices. Assist with loading and unloading children, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed. Communicate effectively with parents, daycare staff, and clients regarding schedules, delays, or other transportation-related updates. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety. Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior to provide a welcoming environment for children. Adhere to all safety protocols related to passenger vehicle operation, including proper use of seat belts and child safety restraints. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in delivery driving or bus driving is highly preferred. Experience operating passenger vans or shuttle vehicles; familiarity with bus driving or limousine services is a plus. Knowledge of GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time directions. Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as loading/unloading backpacks and other school-related items. Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and team members effectively. Knowledge of local driving routes, heavy lifting techniques, and adherence to all traffic regulations is essential. Ability to maintain professionalism while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
