Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel Discover the charm of Suffolk, VA with a travel physical therapy assignment offering the perfect blend of small-town hospitality and historic allure. Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals and experience varied leadership and clinical approaches, ensuring robust growth in your physical therapy career.
Schedule & Setting:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Primarily outpatient clinic with potential coverage of inpatient med/surg and same-day surgery units On-call rotation: Every 4th weekend for inpatient coverage
Desired Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Doctorate preferred; minimum Bachelor's accepted) Active, non-expired Physical Therapy license for Virginia Current CPR certification Specialization certification (OCS, SCS, NDT, Lymphedema, Women's Health) preferred Experience across outpatient, inpatient, and post-surgical rehab strongly valued
Role Responsibilities:
Evaluate, plan, and provide skilled physical therapy based on individualized patient needs Efficiently manage caseloads, averaging 7-8 patients per day Collaborate with patients, families, and care teams to optimize functional outcomes Complete assessments, develop care plans, and monitor progress for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics Guide discharge planning, provide education, and recommend assistive devices Participate in continuous professional development and support community wellness initiatives
