Professionals stepping into this travel position at a reputable regional hospital will work within the Respiratory Therapy department, gaining valuable exposure to a diverse patient population - from NICU to geriatrics. This role provides hands-on involvement with various units such as ICU, stepdown, Medical-Surgical, and a Level
III NICU.
Working alongside skilled leaders and peers, travelers will refine their expertise with state-of-the-art equipment and benefit from dynamic workplace practices. Self-scheduling and supportive team leadership offer flexibility for work-life balance and the opportunity to assume a charge role, depending on experience. During downtime, Filer's open roads, inviting downtowns, and nearby natural wonders create ample opportunities for meaningful adventures.
Schedule/Hours:
12-hour shifts (6-6) Self-scheduling with block schedule options Every other weekend required Occasional holiday coverage as needed 1 week of department-specific orientation, tailored to experience Attendance required at monthly department meetings
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) Active
BLS, ACLS, PALS
certifications (STABLE/NRP for NICU only) At least 1 year of experience; open to first-time travelers NICU experience required Comfortable assisting with intubation, placing an LMA, and performing ABGs, breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, and vent management Skilled in managing patients from pediatrics to geriatrics Hunter green scrubs required (not provided)
Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory care in inpatient and ER settings Perform respiratory treatments and assist with bedside procedures Float between ICU, general floors, NICU, and ER as needed Participate in collaborative, supportive team environment
