Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Facilitate engaging classroom activities, experiments, and projects that promote scientific inquiry and exploration. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing timely feedback and support. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respects individual differences. Collaborate with fellow educators, staff, and parents to support student learning and development. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports. Stay current with advancements in science education and integrate innovative teaching practices into the curriculum. Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school initiatives and events. Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic progress and classroom activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field. Valid teaching certification for middle school science in Idaho or the ability to obtain one. Strong knowledge of middle school science curriculum and pedagogical strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students. Experience working with diverse student populations and adapting instruction to meet varied needs. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning experiences. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
