Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Travel Explore the friendly town of Paintsville, Kentucky, and take your career on an exciting path as a traveling Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The hospital environment provides exposure to both pediatric outpatient care and complex inpatient cases, especially in areas such as swallowing and neurogenic disorders. Off the clock, you'll have the chance to explore Paintsville Lake, scenic hiking trails, and historic downtown, ensuring downtime is as fulfilling as your workdays.
Schedule:
Day shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Occasional on-call duty for stroke evaluations (rare)
Qualifications:
Licensed Speech Therapist in Kentucky Minimum of 2 years' experience as an SLP Pediatric outpatient therapy experience required Proficient in inpatient swallowing assessment and treatment Skilled in performing modified barium swallow studies
Key Responsibilities:
Provide evidence-based SLP care to pediatric outpatients and adult inpatients Conduct thorough evaluations and develop treatment plans, including swallowing and communication disorders Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Perform modified barium swallow studies Fulfill on-call duties for stroke evaluation coverage when needed
