Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Travel Experienced Registered Nurses with expertise in Stepdown care are needed to provide comprehensive patient support in a dynamic clinical environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a difference within a collaborative and fast-paced setting, working alongside healthcare professionals committed to high-quality care.
Schedule:
7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Rotating holidays (every other or every third holiday, as scheduled)
Essential Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing Prior experience in a Stepdown or intermediate care unit Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills Proficiency in monitoring complex patients requiring close observation Ability to administer medications and manage therapies as ordered Excellent communication and collaborative skills Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver patient-focused nursing care for individuals transitioning from intensive to general medical care Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient condition, and act swiftly as needed Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans Provide clear education and support to patients and families regarding treatment and recovery Maintain meticulous documentation in line with compliance and hospital standards Actively participate in handoffs and team huddles to ensure excellent continuity of care
