Urgently Hiring Weekend Barista

Job Summary (hourly + tips): We are urgently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Weekend Barista to join our vibrant team! This role is perfect for energetic individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and love providing exceptional customer service. As a Weekend Barista, you will be the friendly face of our drive thru café/restaurant, crafting delicious coffee beverages, serving food, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service while getting a good chunk of hours in just two days. This position would be a great role for a stay at home mom looking to get back into the working world with almost 30 hours in 2 days with 5 days off. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and specialty beverages with precision and care. Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently using square POS. Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards. Assist in food handling, taking orders, and serving customers (95% to go orders). Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction. Engage with customers positively, answer questions about menu items, and promote sales through friendly recommendations. Qualifications Prior barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred. Reliable child care if applicable. Reliable to show up to your scheduled shifts. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation protocols. Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
