Position Summary The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, organizing stock, and supporting the daily operations of the Parts Department within a commercial truck dealership. This role ensures timely receiving, stocking, and distribution of OEM and aftermarket parts to support both internal service operations and external customer sales. Key Responsibilities Inventory & Receiving Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts shipments against packing slips and purchase orders Accurately stock parts in designated bin locations Maintain proper labeling and bin organization Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the Parts Manager Process receiving in dealership systems (CDK or similar) Stocking & Organization Organize and maintain parts inventory in a clean and structured manner Ensure shelves, bins, and warehouse areas are properly maintained Follow inventory rotation practices (FIFO where applicable) Assist with maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment Order Fulfillment Pull and stage parts for service technicians and customer orders Assist Parts Counter staff with locating parts quickly and accurately Prepare parts for delivery, shipment, or customer pickup Ensure all orders are complete and properly documented Inventory Control Perform routine cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages Identify and help resolve inventory discrepancies Returns & Support Assist with processing returns and core parts Support warranty parts handling procedures Coordinate with vendors and delivery personnel as needed Assist with parts promotions and dealership initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous warehouse, inventory, or parts experience preferred (automotive or commercial truck dealership a plus) Basic computer skills required; experience with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK or similar) preferred Valid Driver's License required; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred or required based on operational needs Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and time management skills Accuracy in inventory handling and data entry Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with strong communication skills Problem-solving ability for inventory and stock issues Work Environment Warehouse and parts department within a commercial truck dealership Exposure to heavy-duty truck parts, equipment, and shop environment Requires standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the shift Performance Expectations Maintain high inventory accuracy Ensure timely stocking and order fulfillment Support overall Parts Department efficiency Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Why This Role Matters The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in dealership operations.
