Weekend Activities Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team and bring joy, engagement, and meaningful experiences to our residents. Responsibilities Help with special events, outings, and recreational therapy sessions that encourage socialization and physical activity Assist residents with daily activities (ADLs), ensuring they feel comfortable, engaged, and valued during all activities Collaborate with care staff to identify individual preferences and adapt activities accordingly for residents with disabilities or cognitive impairments Maintain accurate records of participation, resident feedback, and activity outcomes for reporting purposes Foster a warm, inclusive environment that promotes social interaction and emotional well-being among residents Skills Understanding of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and long-term care practices Excellent communication skills to engage residents effectively and collaborate with team members Ability to assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while maintaining dignity and respect Knowledge of aging issues and working with individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments Compassionate caregiving attitude combined with creativity that enhance quality of life This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to enrich the lives of seniors through dynamic programming.
