Welder Job Description We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team, focusing on constructing the body of garbage trucks. This role involves fitting and welding beads, performing plate to plate, block to plate, and T-joint welding, along with other tasks related to brackets and components for large equipment. Responsibilities Fit and weld beads to build garbage truck bodies. Perform plate to plate, block to plate, and T-joint welding. Weld brackets and components for large equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols. Modify weld settings for voltage or power outputs as required. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding. Experience with blueprint reading. Ability to perform structure welding and fitting. Competency in using a tape measure and other fabrication tools. Experience with stainless steel and grinding. Additional Skills & Qualifications Confidence in passing a T-joint weld test. Ability to modify weld settings for different metal requirements. Availability to work from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work required, totaling 50-60 hours per week. Why Work Here? The environment is collaborative and focused on high-quality production. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LaFayette, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
