Job Description

Dec USA is seeking Second Shift Welder/Fabricators in Mauston, Wisconsin! The Welder reports to the Second Shift Supervisor and is responsible for planning, layout and performing all operations to fabricate and construct the product to customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge and ability to analyze work orders to position, layout, fit-up, cut and weld in accordance to blueprints Set up and operate all tooling, welding and metal fabrication equipment including welders, grinders, band and cut-off saw, and overhead cranes. Read and interpret all AWS basic weld symbols and typical welding symbols Comprehend a Bill of Material to determine necessary materials and requirements Regularly inspect product and complete all necessary paperwork and documentation regarding assembly and inspection records and procedures Performing all job duties following company safety rules and proper use of assigned personal protective equipment Suggest methods improvements or alternate methods and materials to reduce cost and/or improve quality. Perform other duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(Education, Experience, Skills, etc.): MUST be able to pass a weld test Minimum 4 years fabrication experience required TIG welding experience required Must be able to read measuring devices, such as tape measure Must be able to read blueprints and technical diagrams Must pass code welding certification tests Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing Frequent use of basic hand and measurement tools Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength
