In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. Your expertise in accounting software, financial concepts, and customer service will drive efficient revenue cycle management and support our organization's financial health. Responsibilities Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation Monitor outstanding balances and follow up with clients or customers to ensure timely payments Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms to record transactions accurately Conduct analysis of accounts receivable aging reports and identify delinquent accounts for collection efforts Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements Perform data entry with precision, including journal entries and debits & credits, maintaining double-entry bookkeeping standards Assist in month-end closing activities related to revenue recognition and financial reporting Qualifications Proven experience in accounts receivable, medical billing, or related financial roles within public accounting or corporate settings Strong knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems; experience with medical terminology and CPT coding is a plus Familiarity with financial concepts including account analysis, account reconciliation, journal entries, and revenue cycle management Understanding of SOX compliance, GAAP standards, governmental accounting practices, and non-profit accounting is desirable Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail; ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently and accurately Strong negotiation skills paired with professional phone etiquette for effective collections calls Ability to interpret ICD-10 codes and CPT coding for medical billing processes is advantageous Demonstrated proficiency in math, data entry accuracy, and technical accounting practices Join us in a role that combines technical expertise with exceptional customer service!
