Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a positive, motivated and efficient Admin Assistant/Weighmaster to join our team. Qualified individuals will apply their skills and experience to ensure the team delivers excellent service to our customers in a safe, timely and efficient manner. This position is located in Gilroy, CA in person and a pre-employment drug test is required.
Responsibilities:
Provide friendly and professional customer service to drivers, customers and vendors Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issue promptly and professionally Answer and direct phones calls Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letter, faxes and forms Assist in preparation of regularly scheduled reports Develop and maintain a filling system Maintain contact lists Maintain a clean and organized work area including cash register and surrounding space Ordering and maintaining inventory of office supplies Assist in opening and closing procedures as needed Work with a POS system for scale weigh tickets, invoices, billing, accepting and applying payments Operate the truck scale system to weigh inbound and outbound trucks/customers and accurately record all transaction data in the system Verify paperwork for all loads and ensure proper documentation for each transaction Monitor and record gross, tare, and net weights of vehicles entering and leaving the facility Maintain logs, spreadsheets and other reporting tools to ensure accurate tracking of daily operations Manage cash register, ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently Conduct daily reconciliation of scale transactions, including petty cash handling and assisting with the end of day closing processes Handle cash, credit and debit card transactions accurately Screen and record incoming loads at the scale house and direct vehicles as needed Ensure that all drivers, subhaulers and internal staff submit proper documentations from landfills and other destinations Perform additional duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the facility
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Experience 1-2 years of relevant work experience Excellent customer service skills Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail Proficiency in operating cash registers and related technology Computer skills with ability to handle multiple programs and systems Must have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally via mail, telephone, email and 2 way devices Bilingual (Spanish/English) Must have desire and ability to perform, learn, remain agile, ready to handle sudden changes throughout the day Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook Time management skills Attentive to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-pasted environment Punctual and reliable A proactive approach to problem
Pay :
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour in steps
