Job Description

At Ecowaste Solutions, keeping our accounts in good standing is just as important as keeping our trucks on the road. As a Collections Specialist, you'll play a vital role in protecting the financial health of a rapidly growing company by making sure outstanding balances don't slow us down. You'll connect directly with customers, and use your communication and problem-solving skills to find solutions that work for everyone. Whether you're negotiating a payment plan, resolving a billing dispute, or tracking down a hard-to-reach account, your work keeps our operation moving and our customer relationships intact. Job Duties:
Monitor the firms accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.

Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments.

Use credit bureau data, post office information, internet searches and other tools to try to locate customers who have moved or changed phone numbers.

Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer.

Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.

Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress.
Skills and Qualifications:
Good listening skillsCommunication skillsFamiliar with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other laws governing debt collection practicesNegotiating skillsPatience and stress managementProblem-solving skillsCritical thinking skills
Education:
Some college preferred High School diploma required
Physical Requirements Vision:
adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions.
Speaking:
Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. (example: Paper for Printer)
