Job Description

City Tele Coin is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Fraud Department Specialist to support the identification, investigation, and resolution of potentially fraudulent activities involving customer accounts, financial transactions, and correctional facility services. This position is responsible for generating and managing calling cards, reviewing suspicious transactions, processing payment disputes and chargebacks, handling refunds, and coordinating with correctional facilities to investigate and resolve fraud-related concerns. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Calling Card Management
  • Generate, process, and maintain calling cards for correctional facilities in accordance with established company procedures.
  • Ensure the accuracy of calling card information, assigned values, and distribution records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving calling card transactions, balances, and usage.
  • Maintain accurate records of calling card creation and related financial activity. 2. Fraud Detection and Investigation
  • Monitor and review customer accounts and financial transactions for suspicious or potentially fraudulent activity.
  • Investigate reported fraud, unauthorized transactions, and account discrepancies.
  • Review transaction histories, payment records, and supporting documentation to identify irregularities.
  • Document investigative findings and escalate significant fraud concerns to management.
  • Follow established company procedures for fraud prevention, investigation, and resolution. 3. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
  • Review and investigate customer payment disputes and chargeback claims.
  • Gather and organize supporting documentation, including transaction records, account histories, and payment information.
  • Coordinate with appropriate internal departments and payment processors to resolve disputes.
  • Maintain accurate records of chargeback activity, investigation results, and final resolutions.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.50 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
