Medical billing Organizational skills Full Job Description Thrive Behavioral Health continues to grow and is looking for a Full-Time Billing Specialist to work in the Rosedale office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

1. Keeps abreast of current literature and developments in the field and attends or completes required agency trainings. 2. Accounts receivable for insurance carriers. 3. Prepares and sends client statements monthly or as needed. 4. Provides customer service to clients when communicating the collection of balances and answering questions regarding statement and account details. 5. Timely collaborates with appropriate staff in regards to client insurance issues and balances. 6 Verifies insurance for new and potential clients and/or when there is a change with insurance coverage for current clients. 7. Aptly reviews and posts insurance explanations of benefits to EMR. 8. Processes Grant billing and payments. 9. Obtains required authorizations for insurance. 10. Maintains current and up to date insurance information in EMR. 11. Performs other duties and tasks required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of industry standards: organization, theory, principles, and research processes, accreditation and regulatory standards related to role as Billing Specialist. Able to timely submit billing, respond to questions, post payment, etc. Knowledge of CPT codes and ICD-10 codes is desired.

Professional readiness:

Issues related to self-awareness, diversity, ethics and continuing education. Knowledge of PC software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred.

Understanding:

Education, Training, and Experience Required:

High school diploma, or GED equivalent or two years work experience.

Preferred:
