Job Duties for the
Billing Specialist:
Generate and process client invoices for a variety of government contracts, including Fixed Fee, Cost Plus, PoC, and T&M, ensuring billing accuracy and compliance with contract terms. Review project labor rates prior to invoicing and collaborate with Project Managers and project setup teams to resolve rate discrepancies that may impact billing timelines. Establish and maintain project-specific billing configurations within Deltek Vantagepoint, including rate schedules, contract terms, and customized invoice requirements. Perform labor transfers, expense reallocations, and timecard corrections to maintain accurate project costing and billing records. Oversee the end-to-end billing process, from invoice preparation and internal approvals through client submission and final posting, including invoices submitted via customer billing portals. Serve as a key liaison to Project Managers by addressing billing issues, securing approvals, and ensuring compliance with contract-specific invoicing requirements. Monitor and resolve outstanding billing exceptions and unposted invoices to maintain accurate accounts receivable, work-in-process, and unbilled project reporting. Support month-end close activities by ensuring all invoices are processed and posted within the appropriate accounting period. Maintain thorough and audit-ready billing documentation, including support for government contract billing and indirect cost allocations when applicable. Experience working with cost plus contracts and knowledge of FAR, rate tables, and labor transfers a plus Experience using Deltek Vantagepoint/Vision required Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
Salary:
$60,000-$72,000 depending heavily on experience
Schedule:
This role is 100% remote for candidates with government contract billing experience AND well versed in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint. Must be able to work standard EST business hours. #
