Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time Medical Biller and play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes for our medical practice. This role combines remote and in-office responsibilities and focuses on managing insurance billing processes, claims resolution, and provider credentialing. The ideal candidate has experience in medical billing, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to accuracy and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify patient insurance benefits and coverage Review, prepare, and submit insurance claims in a timely manner Follow up with insurance companies on unpaid, pending, or denied claims Investigate and resolve claim issues; correct and resubmit as needed Post insurance and patient payments accurately Manage Medicaid billing and credentialing processes Coordinate credentialing for new providers and re-credentialing for existing staff Obtain, track, and manage prior authorizations Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records Create and provide clear, accurate cost estimates for patients and families prior to services Explain insurance benefits, coverage details, and out-of-pocket responsibilities to patients and families in an understandable and supportive manner
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of medical insurance billing experience required
Required:
Experience with Medicare billing and credentialing Experience billing for Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech Therapy, and Psychology services preferred Strong knowledge of insurance billing procedures, CPT codes, and ICD-10 coding Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail Effective communication and customer service skills Experience with Good Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) Prior collections experience is a plus

Part-time position in office Potential for remote work in the future
Pay:
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
