Job Description
BLUE WILLIAMS, LLC
has an immediate opening for a legal secretary with strong litigation experience to assist attorneys in our Houston office. This position includes but not limited to the following: typing and proofreading legal documents/correspondence, scanning and organizing documents, court e-filing/e-serving, maintain electronic client files, opening new matters, calendaring, scheduling deposition & meetings. Candidate must be detailed oriented and possess superior organizational skills. Proficient using Microsoft Office 365 is required. Candidate must be dependable, professional and a team player. - Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas
- File and organize documents using document management systems
- Maintain and update case files and databases
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Litigation Secretary
- Proficient in using document management systems and legal case management software
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
