This is a dual-role position for someone who enjoys working directly with patients, providing excellent customer service, and is also comfortable assisting the clinical team in the back office when needed. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, personable, and able to confidently transition between front office and clinical responsibilities while helping the office run smoothly.
Responsibilities Front Office:
Greet and welcome patients with a warm, professional attitude Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and assist with scheduling Check patients in and out and maintain accurate patient information Confirm appointments and assist with patient communication Coordinate treatment appointments and follow-ups Review treatment plans and assist patients with scheduling and financial questions Collect patient payments and assist with account and insurance-related questions Verify insurance benefits and assist with insurance claims when needed Maintain an organized and efficient front office Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, hygienists, and the rest of the dental team Back Office /
Dental Assisting:
Assist the dentist and clinical team with patient care as needed Prepare and set up treatment rooms Seat patients and assist with clinical procedures Take digital dental X-rays as permitted by training and applicable regulations Assist with impressions, scans, lab procedures, and other clinical tasks as directed Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment Turn over operatories and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment Assist with infection control and OSHA compliance Provide patients with appropriate pre- and post-treatment instructions Help maintain clinical supplies and inventory Step into the back office when the clinical schedule requires additional support What We're Looking For Previous dental front office and/or dental assisting experience preferred RDA certification is a plus, but not required if the candidate is otherwise qualified for the front-office portion of the role Strong communication and customer service skills Friendly, positive, and professional personality Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Comfortable working in both a front-office and clinical environment Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced dental office Reliable, punctual, and dependable Team player who is willing to help wherever needed Comfortable learning new systems, technology, and office procedures Attention to detail and a commitment to providing an excellent patient experience What We Offer A supportive and team-oriented work environment Opportunity to work in both administrative and clinical areas of dentistry Opportunities to learn and expand your dental skills Employee dental benefits Paid time off and additional benefits based on position and eligibility A professional, patient-focused office that values teamwork and quality care The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who doesn't want to be limited to sitting at the front desk all day. Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous experience in a medical office or related field preferred Knowledge of medical terminology preferred Knowledge of medical software programs preferred Knowledge of basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite Fluent in Spanish and English Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
