The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. The Secretary in the Radiation Oncology is responsible for providing clerical support to the department. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and staff to schedule appointments, maintain accurate patient information, communicate scheduling details, and help ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care. As Secretary, a typical day might include the following: Greeting patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism, warmth, and courtesy Answering phones professionally, recording messages and forwarding calls to appropriate parties Filing patient information in a timely fashion The Secretary role might be for you if: You communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families and healthcare professionals You stay organized and can effectively manage multiple priorities You enjoy coordinating schedules and solving challenges You are detailed-oriented You respond in timely manner to all office and schedule inquiries You work collaboratively with team members You are comfortable using electronic medical systems, including EPIC To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Preferably with clerical experience in health care and medical terminology. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and proficient computer skills. Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers and fax machines. Must demonstrate willingness to learn. This is a Per-Diem, day position.
