CLERICAL/RECEPTIONIST
Job Description:
1. Accountable to the Lodge General Manager, House Committee and the Exalted Ruler. 2. Answer up to 4 phone lines for Manzanita place and the Chico Elks Lodge, assist Elks members and clients of Manzanita Place, over the phone, at the desk or window. 3. Accept and manage reservations for Elks weekly and special events. 4. Assist The Elks Activities Chairmen and committee members with printing of tickets and flyers for events. 5. Manage ticket sales for special events, including cash management. 6. Generate a monthly list of Elks members Birthdays, and wedding anniversaries to apply to the Birthday Night and Anniversary dinner reservation lists. 7. Create invitations and send out electronic and printed invitations for various events and functions. 8. Assists the Elk Horn Press committee with accuracy of dates and times weekly and special events and functions. 9. Manage and track RV park space rentals, including collecting space rental funds from the lock box in the RV park on Monday's, Wednesday's, and Friday' as well as generating cash deposits and turning them over to the Lodge Secretary. 10. Ability to work 30 hours a week; five consecutive 8 hour shifts with standard breaks, Monday through Friday from 9 am until 3:00 pm. With occasional over time assigned and approved by the Lodge General Manager. 11. Other related duties as assigned by the Lodge General Manager.Proficiencies:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, the ability to communicate and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, or over the phone.
- Strong word processing and computer database and software skills, with knowledge of and experience of with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Ability to adapt and adjust to the changing needs of the business.
