Position Summary This position is an exciting and unique opportunity for a full-time receptionist in an established dermatology and aesthetics center in Orange County. About Michelle Aszterbaum MD Dermatology The mission of our practice is to create a caring, professional patient-centric experience and deliver highly competent care that is timely and tailored to individualized needs. A successful candidate will ensure this mission is upheld by supporting our Providers and staff in the highest professional capacity. Position Duties The following responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring a seamless experience Collect balances, copays, cosmetic charges, and deposits for aesthetic procedures Provide patients with product recommendations and assist with purchases Conduct consultations and provide pre- and post-care instructions for cosmetic procedures Call and confirm future appointments to minimize cancellations and no-shows Prepare daily superbills and manage incoming faxes Assist with administrative tasks, including making copies of forms, scanning, and medical records management Answer phone calls and assist patients with inquiries Track product usage and follow up with patients when replenishment is needed Maintain a log of patient consultations and follow up with those who have not scheduled Educating patients on procedures and products Ensuring work environments are adequate and safe Performing other back office related duties as assigned Qualifications EMA or similar practice management software experience preferred Dermatology experience preferred Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Education and Background Extensive and diversified background with at least 1 year of related experience. Ability to speak clearly and concisely. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
