The IT Procurement Analyst and Receptionist is responsible managing the campus-wide hardware and software approval process. All POs for software and hardware must be reviewed and approved by the CIO and IT Security. This position will provide information needed to CIO to make a decision on the software/hardware item requested by campus departments, follow-up with the department when additional information is needed, follow-up with the CIO to ensure approval or denial is received in a timely manner, and notify department of approval or denial. In addition, the incumbent will work with ITS' security group to obtain approval or denial of the hardware and software based upon the software/hardware data classification and protection levels (P1, P2, P3, P4...). The Analyst will follow-up with departments if an Appendix DS is required and/or if additional information is needed by the IT Security office. Furthermore, this position will follow-up with IT Security group to ensure approvals or denials are made in a timely manner and communicate the decision to campus departments. The Analyst and Receptionist will also serve as the first point of contact at the Computing & Communications Building (C&C Bldg.) for employees and visitors. This position will perform various administrative duties including, but not limited to, receiving packages physically and within UCR's Procure to Pay system and notifying staff when they arrive, assisting ITS' Senior Procurement Analyst with procurement of ITS software/hardware maintenance as well as office supplies, managing the C&C Conference rooms, managing ITS golf-cart check-out, and greeting, directing, and arranging for parking for visitors. This position is classified as on-site and will reside in the Computing & Communications Bldg. This position is being funded on soft funds. ITS can commit to three years of funding and if additional funding is made available in the future, this position's end date could be extended. The full salary range for the Procurement Analyst and Receptionist is $27.63 - $47.56 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $37.60 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, UCR is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
