Enjoys helping clients through both happy and difficult moments Stays calm when juggling multiple priorities Has exceptional attention to detail Communicates clearly and professionally Loves learning and improving Works well independently and as part of a team Loves cats Strong attention to detail Record keeping experience in a veterinary setting Excellent attendance history This is a full-time position with a required schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Greet clients and their cats and provide a warm, welcoming experience Check clients and patients in for appointments and collect all necessary information Schedule appointments, manage the appointment calendar, and confirm upcoming visits Answer phone calls and respond professionally to questions regarding services, treatments, medications, and general pet care Maintain accurate patient records and ensure required documentation is completed Fill prescriptions and provide accurate medication instructions within the scope of the position Enter appointment charges, prepare estimates, process payments, and assist with billing questions Communicate clearly with clients regarding hospital policies, services, and recommended care Assist veterinarians and technicians with animal handling during examinations and procedures when needed Provide clients with general information regarding feline health, nutrition, and preventive care Perform cleaning and hospital-maintenance duties as assigned Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to provide excellent patient care Qualifications Minimum of one year of experience working in a veterinary clinic or veterinary healthcare setting Minimum of one year of veterinary front-office or reception experience strongly preferred High school diploma or equivalent Strong working knowledge of veterinary terminology Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Meticulous attention to detail Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Genuine love of cats and commitment to their health and well-being The selected applicant must be eligible to obtain a controlled-substance permit after successfully completing a three-month probationary period. This process requires a background check. Compensation Starting pay range is $21-$23 per hour depending on veterinary experience, knowledge, and demonstrated skills.
