Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly organized and personable Veterinary Receptionist with a minimum of three years of experience to join our dynamic veterinary team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, and a passion for animal care. This role is vital in ensuring smooth clinic operations, delivering exceptional client service, and supporting the health and well-being of our animal patients. The successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals. Responsibilities Greet clients warmly and manage appointment scheduling efficiently to optimize daily clinic flow. Handle medical billing and collections accurately, ensuring timely processing of payments. Maintain detailed and organized patient records using veterinary management software. Assist with client education regarding pet care, treatment plans, and follow-up procedures. Coordinate laboratory sample collection and processing, ensuring proper documentation and handling. Support kennel operations by overseeing animal intake, discharge, and basic animal husbandry tasks. Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary staff regarding treatment updates or questions. Manage appointments, pet care instructions, and ensure animals are handled safely during check-in and check-out processes. Requirements Minimum of three years' experience as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar animal healthcare administrative role. Proficiency in veterinary terminology, and medical record keeping. Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques including dog handling, restraint, and basic animal husbandry. Experience with pet care advice, and kennel management is highly desirable. Familiarity with aseptic techniques, and veterinary critical care practices. Excellent communication skills with clients and team members; ability to explain complex medical information clearly. Knowledge of dog training principles, animal anatomy, and pet grooming techniques enhances effectiveness in this role.
