Job Description

Legacy Veterinary Center is looking for a happy, compassionate, motivated veterinary receptionist to enhance our team! Minimum of 1 year paid veterinary reception experience required.
Ideal candidates will have:
A love for all animals! A happy, pleasant and positive demeanor. A confident grasp of phone etiquette with awareness of tone and inflection. A strong desire to be an integral part of the team and assist others. A positive contribution to team morale on a daily basis. Must work well with team members and have a pleasant demeanor. Excellent communication skills. Excellent problem solving ability and work ethic- we must be very reliable in this field to serve our patients and their families. Be able to approach sensitive topics such as euthanasia and end of life planning with empathy, maturity and grace. Duties and functions will include but are not limited to: Greeting clients, answering phones, checking in/out pets for exams, procedures, vaccines, etc. Must have a good grasp of or be willing to learn veterinary terminology, some pharmacology knowledge and adapt well in a fast paced environment. Must also be open to learning new systems, following protocols and willing to impart and receive knowledge positively to and from other staff. $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
