FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE
We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym - Rocklin Position Summary The Front Desk Associate is a key part of the day-to-day operation of We Rock The Spectrum Rocklin. This position serves as a first point of contact for families and helps create a welcoming, organized, safe, and inclusive environment for all guests. The Front Desk Associate supports customer service, gym operations, cleanliness, sales, inventory, and general facility needs throughout each shift. Key Responsibilities Warmly greet families and guests and provide a welcoming, helpful experience. Check in members and guests, and process purchases using our point-of-sale and check-in system. Answer phones, respond to general questions, and clearly explain gym services,memberships, classes, events, birthday parties, policies, and procedures. Assist with maintaining an organized front desk and lobby area. Help enforce gym safety rules, sock requirements, food policies, waivers, and other facility policies in a professional and respectful manner. Keep the gym clean, sanitary, and organized throughout the shift. During slower periods, complete assigned cleaning and tidying tasks throughout the facility. Restock front desk materials, retail items, snacks, and other inventory as needed. Assist with classes, special events, birthday parties, and other gym activities as needed. Complete opening, closing, and other daily operational tasks as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Strong customer service and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, responsible, and able to work independently. Comfortable working in a busy, active environment with children and families. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn scheduling, check-in, and point-of-sale systems. Able to maintain a calm, patient, and professional demeanor, including during challenging situations. Experience with, knowledge of, or a strong willingness to learn how to appropriately support neurodivergent children and children with disabilities or special needs is strongly preferred. Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with children and families with a wide range of needs and abilities. Willingness to clean, organize, restock, and assist wherever needed to keep the gym operating smoothly. What Makes Someone Successful in This Role Successful Front Desk Associates are friendly, dependable, observant, organized, and proactive. They are comfortable taking initiative when the gym is quiet, recognize what needs to be cleaned, restocked, or organized without always being asked, and understand the importance of creating an inclusive environment for children of all abilities. Patience, empathy, good judgment, and the ability to maintain clear and appropriate boundaries are essential. Reporting This position reports directly to the owners of We Rock The Spectrum Rocklin.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 4.0 - 16.0 per week
