Job Description

We are a private optometry practice located in San Gabriel, CA looking to add to our team. Our goal is to provide quality eye care and eyewear as well as creating a positive experience for our patients. We are seeking long term applicants that have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, are self motivated and able to multi-task, and provide excellent customer service. The right candidate would be a team player and possess a genuine desire to help others. If helping others is a priority, you would do well in this position. The ability to be efficient and recognize and adapt to changing priorities is also important. Previous optometry office or medical experience is necessary! Those who have done well and enjoyed this position include: College Students and Recent Graduates (part-time) Pre-Optometry Students Medical asssistants Those who are detail-oriented, enjoys working with patients and sales There is also room for growth: Your role will also include optometric assistant duties such as pre-testing and will provide experience with medical insurances. You may learn optical skills such as adjustment and repair of glasses, choosing appropriate eyewear, and lens materials which could start your career as an optician. Duties include (but not limited to): Exceptional customer service skills Greet patients and prepare charts Answer multiple phone lines Returning calls and text messages Schedule appointments Authorize vision insurance Assisting patients in frame selection Discussing and offering lens options to patients Dispensing eye wear to patients Contact lens insertion and removal training Office paperwork and filing Opening and closing of office
