Job Description
Full Time | Pediatric Therapy Clinic The Talcott Center for Child Development - Farmington, CT The Talcott Center for Child Development is seeking a Full-Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist to support our busy pediatric therapy clinic. We provide Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, ABA Therapy, and Social Skills Groups for children ages birth-21, including a specialized Autism Program. We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable receptionist who can multitask in a fast-paced medical/therapy environment and communicate professionally with families, clinicians, and insurance providers. Schedule Monday-Friday, as needed during clinic hours of 8am - 7pm Ability to cover day and evening shifts, with potential to move to full time Responsibilities Greet patients and families at the front desk and provide excellent customer service Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly Obtain insurance benefit breakdowns by calling insurance providers Collect copayments and assist with basic billing questions Perform clerical duties: checking mail, scanning, filing, and sending faxes Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines Provide accurate information about the center's services and programs Communicate schedule-related notices to families (no daily scheduling duties) Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff Track inventory and order office/clinic supplies Multitask effectively in a busy pediatric clinic Preferred Qualifications Experience as a medical receptionist or healthcare front desk staff Experience working with children and families, especially those with ASD or developmental diagnoses Knowledge of EMR systems or medical billing/scheduling software Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills Equal Opportunity Employer The Talcott Center for Child Development is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by law.
