$20-22 (will depend on experience of applicant) About the Position We are seeking a Receptionist to join our psychiatric medical practice long term. The ideal candidate is professional, personable, computer-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment where multitasking and attention to detail are essential. Our receptionist is often the first point of contact for patients, families, medical representatives, and other visitors. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage multiple responsibilities throughout the day while maintaining a calm, professional, and welcoming demeanor. The right candidate should be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, follow established office policies and procedures, and demonstrate a willingness and ability to learn new systems and processes as needed. Responsibilities
- Open and close the office daily.
- Handling incoming and outgoing calls of all office inquiries.
- Schedule follow up appointments for established patients.
- Supplying sample medication to patients as needed.
- Scheduling lunches and coffee with medical representatives.
- Collecting payments from established patients daily and hospital patients as needed.
- Visitor management of walk in patients and scheduled patients.
- Contact pharmacies when necessary for clarification on prescriptions for patients.
- Administer and facilitate ADHD testing as scheduled.
- Maintain knowledge of all office policies, procedures, and insurance-related information.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Previous receptionist, administrative, medical office, or customer service experience Strong computer skills
High School Diploma Preferred:
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems Experience handling payments and scheduling HIPAA certification
