Job Description

Job Summary This role is the face of our preschool during afternoon dismissal. The Evening Closer helps ensure the center runs smoothly by greeting families, answering phones, assisting staff, resolving day-to-day issues, and supporting the directors as needed. We are looking for someone who is calm under pressure, enjoys working with people, and can confidently problem-solve while maintaining a warm and welcoming environment. Duties Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally. Greet and assist families, visitors, and prospective parents. Support afternoon dismissal and ensure a smooth pickup process. Assist teachers and staff with questions or concerns throughout the afternoon. Handle minor issues independently and communicate larger concerns to the directors. Monitor the front office and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Assist with light administrative tasks, filing, and paperwork. Help ensure classrooms are prepared for closing. Communicate effectively with staff and families. Perform other duties as assigned to help the center operate efficiently. Qualifications Previous childcare, administrative, customer service, or office experience is required. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Professional, dependable, and punctual. Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
