Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm About the Position We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable receptionist to join our family-owned optometry practice. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while helping our office run smoothly and efficiently. This position is an important first point of contact for our patients and requires someone who is professional, personable, and comfortable working in a busy medical office environment. Responsibilities Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a friendly and professional manner Respond to patient emails and other office communications Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records Send and receive faxes and distribute information appropriately Check patients in and out and assist with front-desk duties Collect and update patient information as needed Communicate with patients regarding appointments, insurance, and office procedures Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines Assist the optometry team with general administrative tasks as needed Help maintain an organized, welcoming, and professional front officeQualifications Previous experience in a medical or optometry office preferred Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills Comfortable answering phones and communicating with patients Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office environment Basic computer skills and ability to learn office and electronic medical record systems Experience with insurance verification is a plus Professional, dependable, and positive attitude Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent patient service, and can be counted on to keep the front office organized and running efficiently.To Apply:
