Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations for a healthcare organization in Rochester, New York. This Contract position requires someone who can create a welcoming experience for visitors while managing calls, scheduling, and administrative tasks with accuracy. The ideal candidate is organized, service-minded, and comfortable handling a high volume of communication in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous manner and provide front-desk support throughout the day.
- Manage a multi-line phone system, direct incoming calls appropriately, and relay messages with accuracy and professionalism.
- Coordinate and confirm appointments while maintaining an orderly and efficient schedule.
- Perform data entry tasks and update records carefully to support daily administrative operations.
- Prepare, review, and send email correspondence in a clear and timely manner.
- Organize, file, and retrieve documents to keep office information accessible and well maintained.
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to complete routine clerical and communication tasks.
- Deliver responsive customer service by addressing questions and assisting with general office needs. Requirements
- Prior experience in a receptionist, front-desk, or administrative support role.
- Ability to operate a multi-line phone system with confidence and professionalism.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Accurate data entry skills with close attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience scheduling appointments and managing calendar-related tasks.
- Ability to organize files and handle multiple responsibilities in a busy environment.
