Job Description

Overview Scott M Cumming, PC, is a small law firm in Creswell specializing in representing real people with personal injury and property damage claims against insurance companies. We are currently looking for a receptionist/intake specialist. The job will require you to take and route incoming phone calls, gather information and documentation from potential new clients, coordinate meeting with the attorney, and communicate with potential clients via email and written letters. Training and opportunities for advancement are offered. Prior law firm, call center, or medical /dentaloffice experience would be ideal. Duties Greet visitors and clients warmly, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive first impression Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries promptly, and direct calls efficiently using proper phone etiquette Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, mail, and packages with accuracy and professionalism Maintain organized filing systems—both physical and digital—ensuring easy retrieval of documents Perform data entry tasks using Microsoft Office and other office software to update records and databases Assist with calendar management and scheduling appointments for staff or lawyers Proofread documents for accuracy before distribution and ensure all communications are clear and professional Provide clerical support including photocopying, scanning, filing, and maintaining office equipment Offer administrative assistance as needed to support team members or specific projects Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications Excellent computer literacy with the ability to quickly adapt to new software tools Strong phone etiquette skills with experience managing multi-line phone systems effectively Bilingual abilities are highly valued to assist diverse client needs and enhance communication Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail for proofreading and data management tasks Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently through effective time management practices Familiarity with clerical duties such as filing, proofreading, calendar management, and customer support
Pay:
$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
