Full Job Description Overview:
Reach Counseling is a mental health agency seeking a medical receptionist / administrator with at least 1 year of experience to join our amazing administrative dream team! Reach is a fast-growing agency and we are looking for long-term employees who are seeking growth opportunities. We call ourselves the Reach Family and we mean that. We care deeply about our employees and invest in maintaining a positive and friendly culture. This position is a hybrid of front desk receptionist, administrator and billing support. Primary responsibilities include checking in clients, answering phone calls and texts, responding to inquiries and referrals, scheduling appointments, verifying benefits, following up on denied billing claims, performing Medicaid billing and eligibility requirements and managing accounts receivable. This person will work closely with others on the administrative team and provide support to the clinicians as well as other administrative tasks. Since you will be the first point of contact for our company, we are looking for someone who has a pleasant personality and a true desire to help and assist others. You should be able to work with clients in emotional crises with a calm demeanor. We are seeking candidates that have a friendly and professional phone manner, excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task and remember details. Benefits include paid time off, $150 per month towards insurance coverage, life & disability insurance. Responsibilities- Answer phones and schedule appointments
- Obtain insurance benefits
- Manage client paperwork and abide HIPAA requirements
- Welcome and greet clients
- Collect co-pay and other payments at the time of service
- Respond to emails; scan, fax, maintain files
- Provide administrative support to staff
- Follow up on denied claims and insurance issues
