Job Description
Securitas Technology seeks an Alarm Monitoring Operator I to protect commercial and enterprise clients through real-time electronic security monitoring. In our technology-driven monitoring center, you will observe alarms, video, and access events, quickly assess their validity, and dispatch appropriate responses following strict procedures. You will document all actions, communicate clearly with emergency services, field technicians, and client contacts, and help ensure safety and asset protection. Responsibilities Monitor alarms, video, and security events from client sites in real time Assess and verify alarms to distinguish true events from false or nuisance signals Dispatch emergency services, client contacts, or field technicians per protocols Follow standardized procedures and scripts to handle critical incidents Document all events, actions, and communications accurately in monitoring systems Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve complex incidents Escalate high-risk or unusual events according to company guidelines Maintain high levels of accuracy, attention to detail, and situational awareness Use multi-screen computer systems, phones, and radios simultaneously Support a culture of safety, integrity, and customer-focused service Required Skills Alarm monitoring systems operation CCTV and video surveillance monitoring Access control systems Intrusion detection systems Incident triage and prioritization Emergency dispatch procedures Call center/command center operations Report writing and incident documentation Basic computer and multi-screen navigation Radio/phone communication protocols
