Job Type:
Full-Time Job Description We are seeking an experienced ISA Certified Arborist / Tree Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and perform commercial tree maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on arboriculture experience along with supervisory experience managing tree crews and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate tree maintenance crews, assign daily work, and oversee safe field operations. Perform and supervise tree removal, tree trimming/pruning, deadwood pruning, and stump removal. Conduct tree assessments, identify potential hazards, and assist with work planning and site preparation. Coordinate equipment, materials, and personnel required for tree maintenance activities. Ensure proper protection of buildings, grounds, structures, and surrounding areas during tree work. Monitor work quality and ensure completed services meet project specifications and safety requirements. Oversee job-site cleanup, debris removal, and restoration following tree maintenance activities. Maintain safe work practices and ensure crews follow applicable safety procedures. Required Qualifications Current ISA Certified Arborist credential with valid certification. At least 3 years of direct supervisory experience managing commercial tree-maintenance operations. Strong overall experience in arboriculture and tree maintenance. Demonstrated experience with tree removal, trimming/pruning, deadwood pruning, and stump removal. Experience supervising tree crews and coordinating equipment and field operations. Experience working at commercial, industrial, public, municipal, government, cemetery, or similarly sensitive sites is preferred. Knowledge of tree assessment, hazard identification, work planning, and site protection. Strong understanding of safe tree-care practices and field operations. Relevant safety certifications such as OSHA, aerial lift, chainsaw, rigging, climbing, CPR/First Aid, or similar credentials are preferred. EducationCertifications Current ISA Certified Arborist certification required. Arboriculture, forestry, horticulture, or related technical/vocational education preferred. Additional industry and safety certifications are a plus.
