The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of plant care. This role involves various tasks related to the cultivation and maintenance of plants in a greenhouse environment, ensuring optimal growth conditions and plant health. Responsibilities Assist in the planting, watering, and fertilizing of plants according to established guidelines. Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution. Perform routine greenhouse maintenance, including cleaning and organizing work areas. Identify and manage pests and diseases using appropriate methods. Utilize hand tools and equipment for planting, pruning, and harvesting tasks. Engage in outdoor work as needed, including landscaping and lawn care activities. Maintain accurate records of plant growth, irrigation schedules, and other relevant data. Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain quality standards. Qualifications Previous experience in greenhouse operations or horticulture is preferred. Knowledge of irrigation systems, plant identification, and basic agricultural practices is essential. Familiarity with mechanical tools and equipment used in gardening or farming is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for various tasks (up to 50 pounds). Strong attention to detail with basic math skills for measuring and mixing fertilizers or solutions. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential qualities for success in this role.
