Duties Assist with animal husbandry tasks including feeding, watering, cleaning enclosures, and handling livestock with care and safety standards in mind Operate farm machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on farm equipment and machinery using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge Support crop cultivation activities including planting, irrigation management, greenhouse work, and horticultural tasks Help with manual handling of materials like feed bags, soil, plants, and livestock supplies while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting Maintain cleanliness and organization of farm facilities to ensure a safe working environment for all team members Assist in implementing safety standards in production processes and ensure compliance with all safety regulations Requirements Previous experience working on farms or in agricultural settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of farm machinery operation including tractors, forklifts, irrigation systems, and other heavy equipment Hands-on experience with animal care practices such as livestock management and animal husbandry techniques Mechanical skills including equipment repair, maintenance routines, welding skills, and familiarity with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) tasks Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and outdoor work in various weather conditions Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to farming activities, and record keeping Strong understanding of safety standards related to farming operations and equipment use Experience working with animals such as horses or other livestock is a plus Knowledge of horticulture practices or greenhouse management is advantageous Excellent teamwork skills along with the ability to work independently when needed This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in agriculture while contributing to a vibrant farm environment.
