A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Isler Genetics is a family owned swine and grain farm operation located in southern Marion county that is dedicated to Sustainable Food Production. We pride ourselves in our reputation for honesty and integrity, promoting a strong work ethic, striving for continuous improvement, and doing our part to ensure so. We are nationally known for our world class breeding swine production and are currently looking for an individual to add to our team. This is a key position that is responsible for the daily care of young growing pigs and breeding animals as well as the health and maintenance of them to assure optimum productivity.

Desired Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have the desire to work with pigs, a willingness to learn, a high level of dependability as evidenced with a solid work history, and a proven record of drive for excellence.
Duties:
Care/management of animals including all stages of facilities, Adhere to bio-security, animal well-being and safety policies, Perform various tasks associated with herd production such as Vaccination of sows, Power washing, Weaning, Heat detection, Artificial insemination, Breeding selection and castration of piglets.
Requirements:
Candidates must not currently have routine contact with swine. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, Display a high level of respect to team members and animals, Willingness to learn and carry out complex instructions effectively. Impeccable record of reliability/dependability a Desire and ability to work in a physically strenuous work environment.

Full-time Pay:
$35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
