Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a progressive dairy operation seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to oversee the overall management and well-being of the site, facilities, cows, and employees. This individual will work closely with ownership and managers from other sites to ensure key performance parameters, operational standards, and company goals are consistently being met. The Site Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the dairy site, with a strong emphasis on employee leadership, training, communication, and team development. This individual will provide direction and guidance to employees, maintain accountability to company standards, and work closely with ownership and management from other sites. Responsibilities will also include monitoring herd health, herd performance, animal wellbeing, and parlor performance, as well as overseeing feed reports, feeding practices, and bunk management. The Site Manager will prepare for and complete required inspections, maintain accurate records, address repairs and general facility upkeep, and ensure operational issues are corrected in a timely manner. This individual will continually evaluate operations for areas for improvement and take the necessary steps to keep the site moving forward while meeting company goals and performance expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dairy professional who enjoys working with people, leading a team, and improving the overall performance of a dairy operation.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Dairy background and experience working directly with dairy cattle strongly preferred
- Experience with herd health and herd management helpful
- Previous leadership or employee management experience preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to train, lead, motivate, and hold employees accountable
- Good computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records and reports
- Ability to communicate in Spanish at some level
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions
- Ability to work effectively with ownership, management, and employees at all levels
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to take initiative
- Willingness to be hands-on and involved in the daily operation of the site Why is This a
