Job Description

Overview:
Mt. Shasta Ski Park is looking for enthusiastic and safety-minded individuals to join our team as Lift Operators. Lift Operators play a key role in creating a positive guest experience by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of ski lifts while providing friendly customer service. Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate chairlifts and surface lifts in accordance with Mt. Shasta Ski Park policies and procedures. Assist guests loading and unloading lifts, providing clear instructions and support when needed. Monitor lifts and surrounding areas for safety concerns, taking appropriate action when necessary. Communicate effectively with guests and other staff members to maintain smooth lift operations. Perform daily opening, operating, and closing procedures for lifts. Maintain a clean and safe work area around lift stations. Clear snow from the lift areas. Provide excellent guest service, including answering questions and assisting with directions. Assist other departments when necessary.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods of time. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to remain alert and focused while performing repetitive tasks. Physically able to stand for long periods, assist guests, and perform light lifting. Previous lift operation or mountain work experience a plus, but not required (training provided).
Compensation & Schedule:
Pay rate: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour, depending on experience. Seasonal position with both full-time and part-time opportunities. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak operating days.
