Mt. Shasta Ski Park is seeking dedicated and skilled Ski Patrollers to join our team. Patrollers play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests by providing emergency medical care, maintaining safe conditions on the mountain, and supporting rescue operations. Key Responsibilities:
Provide prompt and professional emergency medical care on the mountain. Patrol and monitor trails to ensure safe conditions for guests and staff. Respond to accidents, injuries, and other incidents with sound judgment and efficiency. Perform lift evacuation procedures when necessary. Educate guests on mountain safety policies and responsible skiing/riding. Assist in marking, maintaining, opening and closing trails as needed. Collaborate with fellow patrollers, dispatch, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
Current EMT Certification, Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC), or higher (required). Current CPR Certification (required). Strong skiing or snowboarding skills with the ability to navigate all terrain in varying conditions. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks at high altitude. Must be able to lift 40lbs. Previous ski patrol or mountain safety experience preferred but not required.
Compensation & Schedule:
Pay rate: $18.00 $22.00 per hour, depending on experience and certification. Seasonal employment with both fulltime and parttime opportunities available.
