JOB SUMMARY

The Prep & Trim Technician removes and replaces all components as required for paint.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sand entire vehicle or component, painted or unpainted. Perform minor body work. Wash entire vehicle or component. Blowdown, metal prep and condition vehicle or component. Mask, paper or grease components to be protected from paint. Prime and paint assemblies or components where a fine finish is not required. Demask, degrease vehicles or components. Apply stencils, labels, logos, sandpaint, nonskid etc., as required. Clean entire vehicle or components of overspray, grease rust- proof, and dirt to ready product for shipment. Drive vehicle as required in- to building from station to station and out of building and operate equipment as necessary. Move parts carts by hand or with forklift. Rustproof vehicle or components (certification required).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or its equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Use of simple arithmetic and some measuring instruments such as caliper, scale, etc. Manufacturing experience.
