A Landscaping or Grounds Supervisor supervises the staff that provide landscaping for residences, parks, public gardens, college campuses or building or office park grounds. Supervises work to care for plants and trees, including mowing, trimming and planting, and work to repair driveways, walks, benches or other structures. Oversees equipment maintenance and transportation, and communicates with residential customers.

227234 Compensation Data $30 - $40 hourly. (Depending on experience and certifications Position Overview Plans and executes landscaping operations and maintains grounds and landscape of private, governmental or business residences by performing the following duties.
Job Duties What You'll Do:
+ Cultivate your green career with us! + Be responsible and ensure landscape construction projects are installed properly and according to the plan. + Learn the safe and proper way to work and direct a crew of up to four people + Maintain open communication with management, suppliers and crew members + Learn to read and interpret construction plans and maintain accurate records + Drive, use, maintain and properly operate landscape equipment
Qualifications What We're Looking For:
+ Love of the outdoors +
Required:
Valid driver's license (Ability to get CDL or DOT med card upon hire) +
Required:
Previous experience as a supervisor, crew leader, or foreman in a landscaping environment. + Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books + Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire + Knowledge of materials, methods, and skills related to landscaping in the Northeast region + Experience in landscape construction or related fields + Ability to operate various landscape equipment + Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions + Ability to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height
