Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Landscaper/Groundskeeper to maintain and enhance outdoor spaces, ensuring they are vibrant, healthy, and visually appealing. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, fertilizing, and watering to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, power tools, irrigation systems, excavators, and snow plows with precision and safety awareness. Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and removal while ensuring safety standards are met. Manage landscape hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures to ensure durability and visual harmony. Identify plants accurately for proper care and pest management; apply pesticides responsibly following safety protocols. Maintain irrigation systems for efficient water use; troubleshoot issues to ensure proper functioning across all outdoor areas. Follow all safety procedures diligently during outdoor work to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping equipment operation. Extensive experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, and grounds upkeep. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and hardscape installation or repair. Ability to identify various plants and trees accurately; knowledge of horticulture principles. Experience with pesticide management and adherence to safety protocols related to chemical use. Outdoor work experience in diverse weather conditions with a focus on safety and efficiency. Skilled in using equipment such as excavators for larger landscaping projects; capable of performing tree trimming and snow plowing when needed.
