Fulton Montgomery Community College is seeking a thorough and dependable individual for a Building and Grounds Custodial Worker position on the overnight shift, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of building cleaning practices, general maintenance, and minor repairs, along with the ability to work independently and efficiently. This is a provisional Civil Service position and is subject to applicable Civil Service requirements. Work hours are 11pm to 7am Monday - Friday Excellent health insurance, benefits, and generous paid time off

Key Responsibilities:

Perform building cleaning duties and properly use cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment efficiently and economically. Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including, but not limited to, painting and groundskeeping. Assist with lawn maintenance and the clearing of snow and ice from walkways, parking lots, and other campus areas. Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained campus environment. Follow established safety procedures and properly maintain and use assigned tools and equipment.

Minimum qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications include current residency in Fulton or Montgomery County and a valid New York State Driver's License. Two years of building cleaning and maintenance experience is preferred.
